How Can I Apply to Work at the Chatham-Kent 2022 Municipal Election?

Complete the application form and if you are successful we will contact you after the closing date (27th July 2022)

Should you require accommodations, please contact the Elections Team at ckelection@chatham-kent.ca or by calling 311.

I Have Never Worked at an Election Before. Can I Still Apply?

Absolutely - we'd love to hear from you, whether you have never worked an in an election before, or you're an election pro!

We will be offering full training to the successful candidates so that they can confidently and competently carry out their role at election time

Can You Guarantee That I Will be Working in the Location I Have Requested?

Unfortunately not.  Every attempt will be made to place you either in the Ward where you live, or the Ward you have requested; however this may not be possible in every case.

Can I Still Vote if I am Working at the Election?

Absolutely!  It is the democratic right of every Canadian Citizen to vote and to have your voice heard about issues that are important to you.

As long as you are eligible to vote, you can vote using any of the voting methods available. We do respectfully ask that if possible, you cast your vote on one of the scheduled Advance Polling Days, or by using the Internet Voting Method.

I'm Not Very Good With Computers. Can I still Apply?

Of course you can.  There are Election Official positions that do not require you to use a computer - just look at the job descriptions for each position and apply for a position you will be comfortable with.

I Want to Work the Advance Polls, but I'm Not Available for all Three Days. Can I still Apply?

Unfortunately, in order to work in any of the Advance Poll positions, you need to be available for the whole three days that advance polling is being offered - October 13,14 and 15.

If you are not available for those days, you can still be involved by applying to work in one of the positions on Election Day, or even as On-Call.

Where Can I Find the Job Descriptions and Rates of Pay?

Job descriptions and rates of pay are located a little further up this page.  Alternatively you can view them by going to www.ckelection.com.

I Have a Question That I Can't Find the Answer to. Can You Help Me?
