Chatham-Kent Immigration Survey

Consultation has concluded

Purpose

The findings from the survey will offer a glimpse into immigrant experiences in Chatham-Kent. They will help guide community work to welcome immigrant talent and residents and will also help focus the strategic municipal efforts to ensure Chatham-Kent is a welcoming and inclusive community.

Anonymity

Results will be reported as percentages and will be published in a manner that maintains anonymity.

Draw

At the end of the survey, participants will have the option to enter into a draw for one of four gift certificates to a local restaurant of your choosing. The information you share for the draw will not be linked to your survey answers. See official contest rules in the document section.

Eligibility

Survey respondents should be residents of Chatham-Kent, 16+ years of age, and represent the following immigration statuses.

Immigrant

  • Citizen through naturalization
  • Convention refugee, government-assisted refugee, refugee dependent
  • Economic immigrant
  • Family class
  • Federal skilled worker
  • Permanent resident/ landed immigrant
  • Sponsored person

Non-permanent resident

  • Work/study permit holders
  • CUAET visa holder
  • Refugee claimants

The survey is offered in select languages which include English, French, Spanish, Arabic, Punjabi, Hindi and Ukrainian. The Hindi translation is available in paper copy only. If required in another language, contact cklip@chatham-kent.ca. Paper copies of this survey are available upon request.

This survey is conducted by the Chatham-Kent Local Immigration Partnership, in partnership with the Municipality of Chatham-Kent's Community Attraction & Promotion.
