Chatham-Kent Community Drug Strategy

We want to listen to and learn from you!

In 2019, community members shared there was a need for a coordinated drug strategy in Chatham-Kent. Since then, the pandemic has heightened the need. The development of this local drug strategy is happening now!

The Municipality of Chatham-Kent is working in collaboration with experienced consultants, organizations, and community members to create a plan. We are gathering information from our community to ensure our local drug strategy is evidenced based and innovative. The information we receive will highlight the current local substance use situation in Chatham-Kent and feedback of targeted populations, including community partners, community members and people with lived or living expertise (PWLE) with substance use. A detailed approach will provide a strong foundation to inform which approaches and actions are appropriate, supported and realistic for the Community Drug Strategy moving forward.
