Hydro One recently announced plans to improve the electrical infrastructure in our area. Part of their commitment includes allocating additional funding for projects that are art related, culturally or recreationally relevant, which will allow communities like ours, an opportunity at receiving some funds too!
Council has elected that some of those funds are distributed to our communities and Council has elected to establish the Ward Funding Grant Program.
Each year, every Councilor will receive $25,000 to be used in their community. The Mayor will receive $125,000.
