Community Satisfaction Surveys

Your Voice Shapes How We Invest in Our Community

The Municipality of Chatham-Kent invests significant public dollars into the services residents use every day. Decisions about what services to provide, what level of service is expected, and where future investments should be made should be shaped by the community, not by staff and Council alone.

That’s why we are launching the Community Satisfaction Surveys

Your voice helps shape the future of Chatham-Kent. Please take a few minutes to complete one or more of the surveys and share what matters most to you.

Why Your Input Matters

Your feedback will help staff and Council better understand what matters most to residents, where services are meeting expectations, and where there may be opportunities to improve. The results will help inform future budgets and investment decisions.

You use municipal services. You pay for them through taxes and utility rates. Your experience and priorities matter.

Do you want expanded library hours? More investment in parks and trails? Different recreation priorities? We want to hear from you.

Your feedback will help identify where residents see the greatest value and help guide the difficult choices that come with balancing community needs, service levels, and affordability.

Not every request can be addressed in every budget cycle but understanding what residents value is the first step. Knowing what matters most helps Council and staff make decisions that better reflect community priorities and be transparent about where gaps exist and why.

Community needs change over time, and regular feedback helps ensure decisions continue to reflect the community we serve rather than relying on assumptions about what residents want or are willing to invest in.

These surveys are not a one-time conversation. Additional surveys will take place in the future to gather feedback on other services, including areas such as public transportation, roads, and emergency services. Moving forward, the survey will be conducted twice a year to provide ongoing community input throughout the planning and budget process.

Anyone who completes at least one of the surveys below and provides contact information will be entered into a draw to win a gift basket made up of great locally sourced items from local businesses!

Looking Ahead

These surveys will return in the winter to cover additional services not included in this round, including public transportation and roads. Going forward, survey will run twice a year, ensuring your voice is heard consistently and that staff and Council have up-to date, community-grounded input throughout the planning and budget cycle.
