Erieau Community Association

The Erieau Community Association (ECA) mandate is to provide a liaison between concerned citizens of Erieau and the Municipality of Chatham-Kent and its Council, and to communicate with members about matters affecting our community.

The surveys have been done, meetings held, and the results complied. The ECA engaged the community to develop a strategic plan for Erieau.

The goal of the ECA Strategic Planning Committee was to develop a multiyear strategic plan for Erieau related to projects which are prioritized by the community of Erieau residents and property owners. The plan will provide direction for fundraising activities and allocation of funds. The plan was developed in partnership with the municipality of Chatham-Kent.

This was a huge and extremely important project that took many months and many meetings to put together all the suggestions and comments in a short and easy to understand document. We need the help of the entire community to implement the plan. Whether your skills are in nature and trails, fundraising, communications, general helper for many of the “in-kind” projects, we need your involvement.

When developing the priorities of the community, we worked with the municipality to:

  • Build awareness and understanding about CK’s four areas of strategic priorities – Jobs, People, Health and Financial Sustainability.
  • Discussed how these CK priorities might align with Erieau priorities.
  • Identify community priorities and projects to assist the Mayor, Council and Administration in establishing priorities and resource allocation.

If you haven’t already, we encourage you to sign up to receive information from the association. Should you wish to contact us by email, our email address is erieaucommunity@gmail.com Updates will also be posted on the Firemen’s/Community Bulletin Board from time to time as well.

Thanks for visiting, come back often to see what's new. In the words of many an old sailor; May you have fair winds and following seas!

  • Erieau Community Safety Meeting, Nov. 9th, 2022

Your ECA Board of Directors recently held a meeting of various safety partners to discuss safety issues within the village. Minutes of this meeting are under Documents. This is a work in progress, and we will be inviting both the CKPS and OPP back for an ECA meeting in the New Year.

A couple of items that we found surprising was that noise and nuisance complaints from Erieau are very low or as one person said, "near the bottom of the list". Keep calling the Non-Emergency number to report the complaints. This can be done anonymously. The other item is to make sure when calling 911 give as many details as possible as to the persons condition, especially if they are non-responsive or not breathing so that the proper resources are dispatched.

Please read the entire meeting minutes under Documents on the left of this page.

  • WE HAVE A NEW EMAIL ADDRESS!!!!

Our new email address is: erieaucommunity@gmail.com

Please update your address books, all other email addresses will not be monitored.

    Thanks
