About CK LIP Immigrant Advisory Group
The Chatham-Kent Local Immigration Partnership (CK LIP) is looking for immigrants and newcomers that are interested in becoming members of the CK LIP Immigrant Advisory Group (IAG). This volunteer position is an opportunity to contribute to fostering a more welcoming Chatham-Kent. The IAG provides input on what immigrants are experiencing in the community, shares ideas on creating a more welcoming and inclusive community and helps drive community initiatives.
Eligibility:
- Resident of Chatham-Kent
- Immigrant or newcomer (born outside of Canada and moved to Canada)
- 18 years of age or older
Commitment:
- Members serve a three-year term
- Meet four times per year

About Chatham-Kent Local Immigration Partnership
The Chatham-Kent Local Immigration Partnership works to foster a welcoming community by working together to integrate newcomers and celebrate diversity in Chatham-Kent. CK LIP is comprised of 40 members that form a Partnership Council, which provides a collaborative framework towards the development of coordinated, comprehensive and strategic approaches to immigration and integration that fits the needs of Chatham-Kent’s recent immigrants, employers, and service providers.
