Chatham Kent is developing a new Mobility Master Plan to guide transportation planning and support theMunicipality’s long-term vision. The Mobility Master Plan will consolidate the previous Transportation Master Plan, Trails Master Plan and Transit Strategy into a new, comprehensive Mobility Master Plan. The plan will align with updates to the Municipality’s Growth Strategy and Official Plan to ensure transportation networks supports future growth.
The Mobility Master Plan will set the direction for transportation over the next 20 years, helping the Municipality to plan for and support how people move within our communities, between our communities, and across Chatham-Kent. The plan will focus on practical, targeted improvements that make the best use of existing roads and infrastructure, including improving route connections, street design, and system operations.
The plan will be shaped through ongoing engagement with multiple opportunities for residents, businesses, landowners, and community members to share their input throughout the process. This feedback will help ensure the recommended transportation improvements meet the needs of the community now and into the future.
