    Exploring the World's Religions


    October 26 - November 3 [Open] - (Wednesday evenings) - $125.00


    Over 5 weeks, we will explore four major religions (Hinduism, Islam, Buddhism and Sikhism) and open the series with our most popular talk that gives an overview of the world's religions. Talks are on Wed evenings from 7-9pm via an online platform. The program is being done for the United Church of Canada but is open to all. For details and to register here.

  • Chatham-Kent Victim Services-Fall 2022 Training Classes

    Chatham-Kent Victim Services is currently recruiting volunteer Crisis Responders. Crisis Responders provide short-term emotional and practical support to those impacted by crime, tragedy, and traumatic situations in the immediate aftermath. Given the geographic size of Chatham-Kent, we require volunteers from across the municipality.

    We are offering two training classes this fall. October 22nd and 23rd and another on December 3rd and 4th. Spots are limited, so individuals interested are encourage to apply!

    Next week Capitol Theatre is partnering with St. Clair Catholic School board to present the award-winning performance The Mush Hole, which tells the story of Canada's first Residential Schools.

    Each performance is approximately 60 minutes in duration followed by a brief Q and A with the performers. CONTENT ADVISORY: Contains mature content, recommended for ages 13+.

    Orange Shirt – For Orange Shirt Day originated by Phyllis Webstad.

    Leather – For Moose Hide campaign, an Indigenous-led grassroots movement of men, boys and all Canadians - standing up to end violence against women and children.

    Feather – Represents Indigenous folk and communities, and feathers they have in their regalia.

    Tip: You can also draw on a heart and number of mass graves that have been found. #everychildmatters
